Mankouche, Bard and Schulte win First Prize and Sirota wins award in Architect Magazine's Seventh Annual R+D Awards

Architect, the magazine of the American Institute of Architects, recently announced the winners of its seventh annual R+D Awards, which celebrate the current culture of exploration in architecture in which anything and everything is possible.

Morphfaux, a project designed by Archolab, took the R+D Awards "First Award" for best project. Archolab is collaborative firm located in Ann Arbor and Pittsburgh lead by Associate Professor Steven Mankouche, Lecturer Matthew Schulte of Taubman College and Joshua Bard, Taubman College alumni and current faculty at Carnegie Mellon University. Electroformalism

Both projects were funded by Taubman College's Research Through Making Grant program which provides seed funding for faculty research, worked on by faculty, students and interdisciplinary experts.
